Our History

The unique journey from Italy to Brazil, from Brazil to England

Our legacy began in Tuscany-Italy, where the Pieri family first mastered the art of crafting exceptional spirits.

In the early 20th century, our ancestors carried these time-honored techniques across the Atlantic to Brazil, where they built a thriving brewery in Cravinhos - São Paulo, becoming a cornerstone of the local community for decades.

But destiny had one more stop in mind for us, in the heart of England.

The Noble Beginning

Tuscany - Italy

The Pieri legacy reaches back to the late 1800s in the sun-soaked hills of Tuscany, in Sant’anna di Stazzema - Lucca, where our ancestors first mastered the ancient arts of brewing and distilling.

Around 1890, driven by the spirit of adventure and opportunity that defined the great Italian migrations of that era, the Pieri family made the bold decision to carry their time-honored craft across the Atlantic to the New World, moving to Brazil.

The First Rose: Tuscan Roots

The first of the three crimson roses in our heraldic trinity had bloomed magnificently in Tuscan soil, where the Pieri family perfected their craft among the rolling hills of Lucca.

This rose represented not just their origins, but the foundation of excellence that would sustain them through their incredible journey across three continents and more than a century of brewing heritage.

As they prepared to leave Italy in 1890, the Pieri family carried more than dreams and - they carried the weight of tradition, the promise of the griffin's protection, and the unwavering belief that their second rose would bloom even more brilliantly in Brazilian soil

The Three Red Roses: Grace Through Generations

The three crimson roses adorning the crest represent grace, beauty, and the mark of noble lineage. In heraldic tradition, red roses symbolize the family's unwavering commitment to excellence and their ability to flourish across different lands. Each rose tells part of the Pieri story:

  • First Rose: The Tuscan roots in Lucca, where brewing traditions began

  • Second Rose: The Brazilian chapter in São Paulo, where Santi Pieri built his modern brewery

  • Third Rose: The English renaissance, where Cesar Pieri continues developing our legacy with Respect and Honour

The Six-Point Star: Guiding Light of Progress

The star represents "a guide to progress and honor" - perfectly embodying the Pieri family's journey from Italian nobility to global innovators. This celestial symbol has guided the family through their transitions from brewing to automotive design and back to their distilling roots.

A Destiny Call

The English Calling: Destiny's Third Continent (2012)

Destiny had one more continent in store for the Pieri legacy. In 2012, Cesar Pieri brought our family's passion to England, initially as an automotive designer with Jaguar Cars. Yet the distilling heritage coursed through his veins - the griffin's watchful eye ensuring that our brewing and distilling traditions would not be forgotten on English soil.
